We hope to accomplish this by holding an annual writing retreat for women academic geoscientists spanning careers from near-PhD completion to emerita professors.

When: Writing retreats are held during the last week of July. They begin with an icebreaker on Sunday evening and end at noon on Friday. The schedule is open with only two formal events, both optional. Tuesday morning a writing coach provides general advice about writing, followed by individual writing assistance in the afternoon. Wednesday evening there is a presentation relevant to getting and maintain a position in the academy.
